In this series of videos I will go over how I build and programmed the derby.

A little about this project

This all started a few years back when my wife and I were in Vegas for a golf tournament. We walked by the Sigma Derby machine at MGM and I immediately told her, 'We have to have one of these for the basement.' This was before I even put a coin in the machine. A couple years go by and I didn't think much about it, until one day I started looking online to buy one. Much to my surprise, they were $20,000+ if you could even find one.
So that's when I decided to build my own.
With little electronics, woodworking, and programming experience I embarked on this journey.

This series of videos is not a step-by-step guide on how to build a machine. I will tell you most of what you need to know, but there will be some things you will have the figure out.

How to use this site

As I mentioned above, this is not a step-by-step buide on how to build a machine. It is a step-by-step guide on how I figured out how to build mine. I'm pretty confident that if you can do all the intro videos you will be able to get your own machine working.

Please keep in mind I am not a computer-progammer, electrical engineer, electrician, wood-worker, or professional in any field involved in making this. There are probably better ways to do each step, but this is the way I did mine. If you find a better way than I did, please share and build at your own risk!

Good Luck with your machine!
